Government of Canada Committed to Improving Building Efficiency in National Capital Region

The Government of Canada is committed to making federal buildings more energy efficient and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Following a successful pilot project, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is now implementing the Smart Buildings initiative in up to 100 buildings across Canada through a phased approach over the next 3 years. Smart Buildings is a technology that improves the way the government monitors and controls mechanical, heating, cooling and lighting systems in federal buildings across the country to increase the efficiency of these systems. read more >>
